Motivation Profiles PSY/103 March 13, 2007 Motivation is at the core of what drives us to succeed in today�s work environment. Without it, people would have no reason to get up in the mornings and no one would have a reason to get off the couch and do something more productive. If there was some form of disaster that robbed people of their motivation there would be no one working anywhere, therefore, causing the world to come to a halt. Since no body would be motivated by hunger or thirst the population would soon start to die off just because they lost their motivation to eat and drink. Even if people did realize they were starving they would not have the instinct motivation that gives us the will to survive. While this would be an extreme case of losing motivation, even a slight decrease in it could cause a person to lose a job or ruin a relationship.
