Fashion is defined as a style of dress that is popular during a certain time or era. It reflects a persons� social class in the old days and in modern times it reflects personality. Until the twentieth century, fashion hasn�t changed a whole lot. During this time period new fabrics and innovations were introduced to America. The 1920�s was the decade when fashion entered the modern era. �The Roaring Twenties� was the North American period of the twenties which was described �one of the most colorful decades in American history.� This was the decade when women started to wear more comfortable clothing such as short skirts or pants. They listened to Jazz, were flat-chested, and bobbed their hair. These women were called �Flappers.� One of the most famous fashion designer in the late 1920�s was Gabrielle Chanel, known as Coco Chanel. Her clothing style became the style in the twenties.
