I. Intro Police Corruption is a shaky topic to talk about. Most officers will not even talk about it. Yet it has existed almost from the beginning of policing in the US, corruption of law enforcement officers has been a fact of life. It involves the men and women of our cites/states that have been sworn to uphold the law and protect the citizens. But some turn and do the wrong thing regardless. Weather they were influenced pressured or chooses to participate in the events that made them corrupt it is something that affects their city and people living in them. There are a few definitions and explanations that describe police corruption. The Webster dictionary definition is; a specific form of police misconduct sometimes involving political corruption, and generally designed to gain a financial or political benefit for a police officer or officers in exchange for not pursuing, or selectively pursuing, an investigation or arrest.
