The ‘final solution,’ is a term simply given by many to the Holocaust, the attempted genocide of the Jewish race in Europe and eventually the entire world. However, although this was one final solution that the Nazis proposed and acted out to solve the ‘Jewish problem’ i.e. simply the Jews continued existence on the planet, there were many ‘final solutions,’ and was given by the Nazis to whichever policy of anti-Semitism was in vogue at the time, and which they were pursuing in the near-future. Hitler’s and his Nazis’ desire to persecute the Jews was never in question, but the changing nature of this persecution and the final solutions is, and whether the solutions were pre-planned, or more reactionary measures. In Germany even before Hitler’s ascension to power in 1933, there was a great deal of anti-Semitic feelings, which were certainly enhanced and roused by the coming of the Nazis.
