Commonly, �abortion� refers to an induced procedure at any point during pregnancy. (wikipedia) I believe that abortion is morally wrong and is only disempowering to women. Early feminists such as Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton were opposed to abortion. They believed that abortion was an acceptance of the old paternalistic system in which one �owned� one�s dependents. (p.92) I believe that abortion does not liberate the woman it only liberates the man. In this paper I will argue from a feminist perspective that the damages of abortions outweigh the benefits of abortions but first I will discuss which feminist perspective I believe abortion should be viewed from.
