To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee - Mockingbird to Man Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Tom and Boo were two kind and gentle men and all because of rumors and false stories they were either found guilty for the wrong reasons or they were found guilty for no reason at all. In the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”, by Harper Lee, Tom Robinson was a man whose life was cut short, which, in turn, created a sin, a sin which is also performed when killing a mockingbird. Not only was Tom Robinson an example of a “human mockingbird”, but Boo Radley was too. Though Boo did not get killed, he was still a very good example. Forcing him into the public eye and accusing him would have shattered this man. The true goodness and purity did not save one man from living his life to the end. In many ways mockingbirds are related to these men in “To Kill a Mockingbird”. When Scout and Jem received air guns for Christmas, Atticus had asked them to refrain from shooting at living things, and just use tin cans as targets.
