Wally Amos Wally Amos is the founder and starter of the ever so famous cookie Famous Amos. Wally Amos started out in show business he continued that job for eighteen years and eventually got tired of it and wanted to start on something different so he thought of the idea to make cookies. Wally used his own last name to make the name of the cookie have a catchy name that would be easy to remember. That is why the cookie has his last name Amos in the second part of the name Famous Amos. Wally Amos is know as an entrepreneur because entrepreneurs know how to get people to invest, and they are willing to make sacrifices. All the jobs that Wally had gave him some type of characteristic to help him out on his cooking making and promoting his cookies. The Air Force taught him discipline . Being a stock clerk, and then moving up to manager helped him gain experience. Show business shown him how to promote his product.
