Knowledge is gained by empiricism and rationalism and for me it is hard to decide what side I�m on. To me it is like the Democrat/Republican split no one is ever totally on one side, and if they are they�re usually an idiot. I like to base my knowledge on both reason and my experience. Now someone could come along and tell me that my experiences were false or could be false or never really happened, but I couldn�t and wouldn�t buy that. For instance, I remember vividly a Sat afternoon when I was very young. I grabbed a hot pan off of the stove top not realizing that it was hot until it was in my hand. And ever since then I remember to not grab pots off the stove without checking the burners first. So in that way I can side the empiricists. But again on the same instance you could say that was based off of reason also. Because it isn�t reasonable to grab a piping hot pan, the reason I gained this knowledge and gained this �experience� was because the pan was hot. I have gained this certain absolute knowledge (I believe this bit of knowledge vital to one�s well being, therefore vital......
