It’s My Life: On Charles Darwin. How did we get to the state we are at now as human beings, from cavemen nearly 2.5 million years ago (Carl, 260)? When Darwin began his research there were not even recognized fossils of ancient humans. He pondered these ideas and put them in a journal and he would dare not to let anyone else seem them (Carl 260). Today if Darwin was never born, would we even know where we came from? The importance of Charles Darwin’s research is pertinent to our everyday lives. Research goes on each and every day with regards to Darwin’s theories; without his ideas, human life as we know it could have gone on with no immediate answers to how we came about. Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809; he was one of six (Wikipedia). At a young age his mother died and that is when he began to shut himself away from the rest of his family (Wikipedia). His father at a young age did not like the path his son was going down. His father did not believe that science per say was a good enough job for the boy he had raised.
