The Life of Marie Antoinette Marie Antoinette was very young and beautiful when she married Louis XVI; she was only thirteen to be exact. At age nineteen she became Queen of France. Marie Antoinette was very immature in her role as Queen. She was not well educated and didn�t have much interest to learn anymore. Antoinette loved to have fun and stay out all night. She and her husband never were on the same schedule. Antoinette never really loved her husband, only herself. The storming of Versailles was the beginning of the French Revolution. The royal family was taken as prisoners from that moment on. During the war between Austria and France, the royal family was arrested on suspicion of treason. This would lead to the death of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. Louis the XV demanded the young princess�s hand for his grandson. They were to be married Easter of 1770 (Zweig 6).
