Research Paper Abortion I believe human life begins at conception. Abortion became legal in American in 1973 after the Roe v. Wade decision, made by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ruled that abortion laws violated a woman�s constitutional right to privacy in the fourteenth amendment under the due process clause. Before Roe v. Wade, the Doe v. Bolton decision paved the way for legal abortion. It was made on the same day outlawed all abortion laws in Georgia. Pro life activists believe abortion is the murder to a human life; I endorse the pro life doctrine. As a follower of the Pro life doctrine, I believe in fetal rights, or the rights of the unborn. I also endorse the view that all human beings have the right to life, which includes embryos and fetuses. Life begins at conception, not at birth. Pro choice activists have contrary beliefs. Unlike the beliefs of pro choice activists; I believe an embryo is not just protoplasm. It�s a human life inside its mother�s womb.
