As we know from Wilfred Owen poems, much of them deal with the violence and hatred of war. What we do not realize is the attitude towards all the people not participating in the war itself. Owen�s poetry spoke out for people who were at home and thinking nothing of the bloodshed occurring throughout Europe. One of his most famous writings, Dulce Et Decorum Est, portrayed a violent scene that no one could understand unless they were actually there. Another poem by the name of The Send-Off, shows soldiers heading out towards the unknown battle. In a way Owen�s attitude towards the innocent, oblivious people on the home front let him release his war trauma through writing poetry. Born in Shropshire, England, Owen�s family moved to Shrewsbury where he could be more comfortable. Mr. Owen did not take to his lack of manly traits and devotion to reading, especially things that were not approved by his father. �This early conflict in his family seemed to have an enduring impact on Owen, and later resolved itself into the struggle between passive contemplation and the call to action......
