Strategic Plan Overview Strategic Plan The strategic plan I have chosen for the United States Air Force (USAF) is to improve the physical training (PT) of members. The outcome is to produce Airman �fit to fight� decreasing failure rate on the PT test. The lifestyle of a military member includes mental preparation and physical endurance. However, the physical preparation and testing in the USAF is not very intense in comparison to the other military branches. Implementing a strategy to improve an appropriate PT program is essential for Airman in order to maintain a competitive edge. Therefore, to maintain the mission of producing agile combat support and preparing troops to defend the US, the PT program must be revised, restructured and suitably disseminated. Mission, Vision and Values The USAF defends the US and protects its interests through aerospace power. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen.
