Traditional Societies that live in foreign countries as closely coupled networks Why closely coupled? It is been pretty long ago since Uighurs came to Kyrgyzstan and settled down here. Even though they absorbed some of the norms in this society and now became different from Uighurs in China they still have very strong desire to save their customs, traditions and their ethnicity. While learning more about Uighur culture it was found out that they do not let anybody different (of different ethnicity) in, moreover, they do not like when anybody tries to escape from their society, this would be considered as a betrayal for the whole Uighur community. There are of course exceptions even though very rare ones when Uighurs married Russians, Kyrgyz etc, more frequently it happens with Uzbeks, because their cultures are very similar and Uzbek in Uighur community will not damage their culture, because he or she has the same cultural traditions.
