Simon Political Science 2020 11/16/06 US Supreme Court and International Law The recent history of the presidential administration under President George Bush and the United States Supreme Court justices has been undermined by international law. The United States Supreme Court more recently than ever has been under pressure to change some of their precedents. The pressure being placed on the Supreme Court in most circumstances is justified, however it is the belief of John Yoo �It�s not to ask other countries what our Constitution means or what their constitution means.� I believe that is bull-headed to some degree, all court decisions come from precedent from another courts decision, and it is the Supreme Court�s decision which precedents will be in effect, whether it be from an international and/or foreign jurisprudence. The Supreme Court in effect has trouble in deciding if it should follow the Constitution or whether it should look for an international answer to its judicial woes.
