On April 16, 2007, I met a man named Tony and a lady named Christine Brady who works at the Central Montgomery Medical Hospital. In room 112, between 2:50-3:15, I have learned a lot about the field of occupational therapy and their slogan was "Skills for the job of living.� I have learned that occupational therapists help people develop their skill to complete tasks in their daily living and working conditions after they get injured. Occupational therapists (OTs) work with people who have mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling conditions. They also assist the patients to develop, recover, or continue daily living and work skills. OTs helps patients not only to develop their basic skills, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function. The goal of occupational therapy is to help patients have free, useful, and fulfilling lives.
