Martin Luther King Jr. While I simply read a few paragraphs into “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” Martin Luther King Jr.’s words were straight forward yet empowered with meaning. I could not help but feel the feeling and emotion behind what he had once written and I was now reading. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” (King) His intelligence and ways with words helped make a difference, a difference that is still being noticed today. He also said, “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” (King) With his words and actions came his wisdom and positive attitude towards making a change and demanding diversity. He wanted integration and with time it was achieved. The quote “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” is strong in meaning as well as understanding. He worded this quote, so it seems, to try to explain that if there is wrongful doing in one place it will without a doubt spread rapidly. One cannot expect to have pain, inhumanity, judgment, disrespect, and ignorance in one small place and be naïve and believe it will never flo......
