Left or Right? Many years ago it was thought that there were only two types of people; man and woman. Later on it has been discovered that there is subcategories to these classifications; left brain dominance and right brain dominance. This does not just control which hand you write with or which hand you grab a fork with, it controls your communication skills, the way you learn, and your perspective on many things in life. Knowing which brain dominance you have can help you learn not only in the classroom but in many aspects of life. One of the main differences in the left and right brain people are how they communicate. The left brain people tend to be better with grammar and syllable recognition, while the right side is better with symbolism and intonation. What that means is a person who is right brained would be better at picking out pitch or melody changes to distinguish kinds of sentences or types of languages.
