Disorders of Homeostasis This assignment will describe the aetiology and pathophysiology of a disease and its processes occurring in a patient within the practice placement setting. Care and analysis will show how the diseases impacts on that patient from a biopsychosocial perspective. The essay will also include a patient profile reflecting on the patient�s details and problems following identification of the patients' disease, as well as a scenario demonstrating existing knowledge, skills and attitudes. To encompass this �Gibbs model of reflection� will be applied to the second part of the essay incorporating description, feelings, evaluation, analysis and conclusion (Gibbs, 1988). Discussion will include knowledge, underpinning practice and an evidence base for the chosen disorder. The selected condition in which this assignment is based upon is named after a London doctor, James Parkinson, who first recognized its main features in 1817.
