My Views on the Process of Evolution For many years people have asked the questions, How did we get here?, and How did mankind come to exist? Astronomers, philosophers, and even mathematicians have come up with explanations. I believe in the theory of Theistic evolution. It is the belief that the universe is over 10 billion years old and the earths crust is over 4 billion years old. However, God caused the first living organism to appear: the cell. From that moment it took over millions of years for the cell to evolve into a mammal (such as ourselves).I believe in this theory simply because the reasoning behind the Theistic theory are the most factual. I agree very much with Darwins theory of evolution. Darwin believed that all creatures evolved from one-celled organisms to more and more advanced species over millions of years. Most modern-day biological and earth scientists believe that evolution is no longer just a theory.
