Bashing of the Sexes Television has been a part of lives for decades and continues to broaden through the years. We as Americans watch T.V for different reasons. In the essay I read titled �Male Bashing on T.V� the author, Michael Abernethy basically points out that men are being portrayed as lazy, selfish, inconsiderate husbands and poor parents on television sitcoms, commercials, and advertising ads. Such is the influence of television. However can television harm one group of people as much as it could help another? Everyone has been labeled in society at one point in time, women get portrayed as sex symbols all the time on T.V, and men don�t seem to mind at all. As time goes by T.V will continue to show women as sex symbols and on the same note shows women as smart and independent too. T.V will continue to show men as whom they are which is not as smart or independent as women are. It does sound pretty bad in regards to male bashing but if the shoe fits wear it.
