Drugs are a major influential force in our country today, but the problem has gotten so out of hand that many options have been considered in order to come up with the right decision that is fair for everyone. The war about legalizing marijuana has been going on for many years now, and to this day everyone still has their own opinions. Who is right? Legalizing marijuana is a social debate which could not possibly please everyone. Legalizing marijuana should be given a chance, since compared with cigarettes and alcohol, the health risks associated with marijuana are very mild, yet we do not ban these items. Right now a lot of police work is focused on finding growers and consumers, when they should be focused on more important things such as rape, murder or child abuse. Legalizing marijuana would mean that the government could charge taxes off of the sales of marijuana, marijuana could fight off many infections and the effects of it are much milder then the effects of cigarettes and alcohol, so why not legalize it? The war on drugs is an expensive battle, as great deals of sources go......
