Over the years, the Industrial Revolution has attracted an endless number of interpretations and viewpoints, making it difficult to classify this event as either bad or good. In the midst of these heated debates, historians have come to evaluate the accuracy of the name, Industrial Revolution, arguing that this nineteenth century phenomenon does not entirely detain revolutionary aspects. This merely economic movement is not in tune with the definitions provided for �revolution� in dictionaries which list bloodshed as one of the many characteristics of a stereotypical uprising. In support of this theory, economists have noted that the economic growth developed at a fairly small slow rate contrary to the general ideas which viewed the process of industrialization as very abrupt. It was not until 1840 that the momentum of this movement started to kick into the proletariats� lives as asserted by the economist Clark Nardinelli (Nardinelli).
