This essay will be describing what Germany (see appendix 4) was like after World War One in the 1920�s-1930�s and how the Nazi Party (see appendix 5) grew to lead Germany. The subject hypothesis is: The Nazi Party ideals of Nationalism, a strong and united Germany and anti-Semitism resonated with German people as they had lost faith in the unstable and seemingly weak Weimar Government. Hitler used nationalism to create support for German aggressions. He published a book which described his radical ideas about nationalism (see appendix 1). After the end of the war, a small group of these Germans formed a new party - the German Workers Party. The German Workers Party believed strongly in German nationalism. To them, the most important thing was to restore German pride and prosperity. Also, Hitler and the Nazi Party used Nationalism greatly to their advantage in Germany, a nation where nationalism was already established.
