Some people even declare that he was one of the worst rulers or is the worst ruler England has ever had. His greed, corruption and unruly performance against the Church, barons and merchants led to the opening of the Magna Carta in 1214. Current sources describe John as being a tormenter and a slaughterer who robbed from, as well as betrayed his family and people. While fictional and non fictional videos and books on the personality of Robin Hood, and the exposure of King John as a pathetic and immature King who is arrogant, dim-witted, greedy and hopeless. Whilst learning about King John we have studied the sources, not knowing if they are trustworthy or not. Some present-day sources indicate that John was a fraudulent and malicious leader and cannot and was not viewed as an entirely dependable man.
