In the past when a person said that someone was an addict, one thought of drugs such as cocaine or heroin. In modern times many people are addicted to things that were not thought to be addictive, such as caffeine or videogames. However caffeine and videogames can be beneficial if used in moderation. Caffeine addiction is not limited to the young or any group at all. Caffeine is used throughout all age groups and social cultures, and many of the people who use caffeine have become addicted without their knowledge. Videogame and caffeine addictions can be serious problems, however both if used in moderation can be beneficial. Addictive activities affect the body and mind.
