When researching Ohio’s economic condition, it came to my attention that Ohio has a great deal of economic challenges facing it, Northeastern Ohio in particularly.
Cleveland has been named the biggest poorest city in the United States of America for the second time in the last three years. The city of Cleveland, according to the census bureau, has over 32% of its residents residing in poverty.
Several events has helped to put Cleveland in it’s present economic state, including job loss, high medical cost and increased cost of living expenses, just to name a few. Ohio has been hit very hard by the loss of over a quarter million jobs that have been lost since 2001.
While reviewing the real economic change that the United States of America has experienced, I uncovered some very interesting information. While the minimum wage has not increased, the price of whole milk has increased by 24%, and the price of bread has increased by 25%.
