Pleasantville is a film based on two teenaged twins who is transported into a 1950’s black and white television scene. They are trapped in a world were the people are naive and complacent. The film challenges one to think outside of the box and learn from life experiences and the world around you.
Pleasantville is a sitcom that turns into a drama/horror movie. The main characters are teenage twins David and Jennifer. David and Jennifer come from a broken home, there Mother is constantly arguing with their Father about taking the David and Jennifer for the weekend so that she can spend time with her new boyfriend. Not the perfect life of Pleasantville that David envied. Life is perfect in Pleasantville; the families are perfect, the school is perfect, the weather is perfect, the relationships between parents and kids are perfect, and the relationships between kids are perfect. David and his twin sister Jennifer are transported back into the fictional community of Pleasantville. This is David’s dream life and Jennifer’s nightmare. ......
