What is the essential cause of the Korean War?
The goal of this investigation is to explore various causes of the Korean War and to formulate a conclusion based on the evidence and the past events. The investigation will focus on the historical background of Korea and East Northern Asia. This includes the Japanese occupation of Korea, the Pacific War and the division of Korea. The effect of communism will also be discussed.
The evidence will be collected from books and internet primary documents related to the Cold War and the Korean War. The major source used is The USA and the Cold War, 1945 – 63 by Oliver Edwards.
