Commentary �Feet� The major ideas that will be examined in this commentary will be the narrator, the subject matter, the themes and the language used to sharpen our understanding of the passage. Our perspective is changed from an emotionally difficult situation by means of different themes and stylistic devices to position us to value the characters� experiences. The first person narrative of the child encourages us to depict his innocence in a complex world but simultaneously his capacity to retain information, such as the many diseases the child identifies in detail. The child�s point of view, from under the table, describes the complex and stressful situation through feet movement. This increases our capacity to understand the passage by providing a commentary of the action from a different perspective, making us realise how a young child interprets situations and how the effect of our own personality and mood reflect ourselves, for example our feet.
