Alcoholism, drug abuse and violence has been around in aboriginal communities of Australia for years now and despite feeble attempts to try and stop this problem it is still a massive issue. The Northern Territory government seems to be not acting towards the issue so Prime Minister John Howard has stepped in and introduced a new intervention program to bring law and order to sixty indigenous societies. The Northern Territory government is too slow to act on the serious issue at hand and fix the problem that has been going on for many years. If John Howard doesn�t help now and intervene, the problem will take years to deteriorate, or become worse than it already is. John Howard and the federal affairs minister Mal Brough�s new plan includes more medical attention, pornography and alcohol bans, and police and army troops are being sent over to sixty communities.
