The solders were amazed as they entered into the city of Tenochtitlan, Mexico as they were in progress of the Spanish conquest of Mexico, known to the soldiers as �New Spain�. The men were in awe at the city, due to the fact that Tenochtitlan had turned into a popular urban center. The soldiers had no clue with what they would encounter and for something to happen like this, the Spaniards were stunned. On the other side, the Nahuas were also stunned. They saw things they had never seen before. With animals like horses, and weapons like crossbows and muskets, the Indians had no ides where this huge group of marching men came from. Staring at the iron clad outfits of the soldiers, and seeing the bearded men made the Nahuas immediately think they were the Gods that were to come and regain the sacred land. Through these happenings, it is evident that the Nahuas and the Spaniards did not have many similarities.
