Nevada�s history is rich and shaped by many different things. Without three very important events, Nevada might not have developed into the popular area that it is today. The Mormons were the first settlers to come here, that in itself is an interesting tale. The Comstock Lode played a gigantic part in the growth of population in addition to affecting many different aspects of Nevada�s growth. Last but not least, the early Native Americans, specifically, a member of the Paiutes, produced some rich history as well. The Mormons are the most recognized group of settlers who came out west. This is due to the difference in the reasons between why the Mormons came out west and why the average pioneer came out west. The average pioneer came out west hoping to become independently wealthy, to change Indians, or just maybe for some entertainment. However, the Mormons came out west due to the misery they were enduring for their religious differences.
