AN OVERVIEW OF OBTAINING A MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) An Overview of Obtaining an MBA University of Phoenix Abstract The purpose of this paper is to express the rationale for the pursuit in my obtaining an MBA. Before the decision was made, I considered the pros and cons that would be taken into account when making the final decision. After the review, the pros outweighed the cons, I made the decision to pursue an MBA with the anticipation that upon completion gain a greater depth and understanding of the core functions of management and business administration along with gaining the crucial skills of being a good manager with problem solving skills that can be used to effectively perform management duties including the management of people and money.
