Ethics: Whomsoever Much Is Given, Of Him Shall Be Much Required Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Ethics: “Whomsoever Much Is Given, Of Him Shall Be Much Required” In Luke chapter 12, verse 48, of the Spirit-Filled Life Bible, I found the follow passage, “for unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more” (Nelson, 1991). Under the theory of utilitarianism, the end result is of the utmost importance. If the results are for the good of everyone involved then the path taken is acceptable. This sounds good and seems to be the philosophy followed by most journalists. An example is when Michael Jackson, the pop star, was accused of child molestation; both CBS and NBC bent the ethics codes in offering lump sums of money to get the first interview with the pop star (Nammour, 2004).......
