Representation of Truth- �It is not the truth that is complicated, only the people who tell it� Media teams, such as ABC�s �4Corners�, successfully use a variety of techniques, such as editing and the personal interview of Prime Minister John Howard persuade their audience that they are most truthful and in possession the facts regarding the 2002 Children Overboard affair. ABC�s �4Corners� use interview footage and it�s sub-techniques to give primary data to assure their responders that are to be trusted as bearers of the truth. Firstly, their selection of highly credible journalist Liz Jackson as the interviewer instantly gives the responders the impression that her integrity assures them truth. Her aggressive tone, her use of fact & hostile emphasis on pronouns with statements such as �Well your Minister had been told that day that they were the wrong photos� & �Kelly put it to you that Defense Forces were saying they were the wrong photographs� all add to the �4Corners� credibility as the truthful & candid side of the story. Liz also cleverly incorporates editorial comment......
