Motivation Paper Organizational Behavior Motivation Paper The Consumer Research Department (CR) is a sales department at Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL). The department has a sales force of approximately 600 Personal Vacation Planners (PVP), 20 Sales Coaches, six Sales Managers, a Sales Director and a Vice President of Sales (VP). With the primary focus being sales, the environment is a very competitive one. Flags on top of each PVP�s cubicle are used to symbolize the number of sales each person has. Each day it is electrifying to see all the flags up and hear the chatter of the PVPs talking to their guests and closing sales. However, to keep such a large sales force focused on a daily, weekly and monthly basis can be very challenging.
