Most feel war is tragic. Some will suggest war to be unnecessary; but everybody agrees that the slaughter of innocent people is intolerable. The problem is, in the case of Darfur, Sudan, enough people of enough influence are not taking enough life-saving action to stop the genocide, both due to negligence and the general public�s overall lack of education. Darfur, roughly the size of Texas, is a region of Sudan, a country located in northern Africa. The population of Darfur has been under siege by its own government for years. Since early 2003, government-supported militia in Sudan known as the Janajaweed has been involved in the destruction of the lives of over 4,000,000 Darfurian citizens. Despite peace agreements and foreign �interception�, hundreds of lives are lost every day. What can we do to end the slaughter and bring peace to the region of Darfur? What keeps the United States from intervening and showing Africa that we stand for justice without racial discrimination? That we, the USA, are truly a nation with a vision of peace, not just a country who invades foreign territory......
