In legal literature, mopeds are normally defined by limits on engine displacement, speed, power output, transmissions, or the requirement of pedals. These �gas scooters� were invented in the early 1950�s and are now sweeping our nations youth with a quick and easy way around. They are appealing to today�s youth because of their smooth style, gas efficiency, they are extremely safe, are more cost efficient as they cost much less than cars, and with the legal driving age of them being younger than that of motorcycles they are the closest thing that they can get to one.
