Gil Jungers� film, 10 Things I Hate About You. (1999), Follows the same kind of plot and storyline as Taming of the Shrew. This adaptation to Shakespeare�s stage play is very similar in the aspect of all the themes being the same, but they are set in very different times. This part plays a big role in making these films being very different, but the similar at the same time. This means there all the typical values and lifestyles of this modern period to suit the film compared to Taming of the Shrew which is set in the Elizabethan Era. The setting of 10 Things I Hate About You is at a typical American high school with immature teenagers everywhere.
