We need to develop other alternatives to our dependence on gasoline by researching more efficient automobiles, fuels, and other forms of transportation. Affected People Mainly everyone is affected by the gas price increase, especially people who use transportation as a form to get to work, business people who use vehicles to get the job done. For example, truck drivers who own their own business and have to make long trips to make deliveries. They are paid the same and the price of gas keeps increasing. The only option they have is to either work overtime or have a second job to recover the gas money expenses. If it does not work for them, the only choice they have is to find a better paying job. Taxi drivers are also affected by the gas price increase, they have to charge more to customers, and at the same time, they are loosing many clients because they are using public transportation.
