Take your dog with you on holiday. Dogs love holidays and are good at them. They also love you and hate kennels. Further more, if you do take your dog with you, you will add to the sum of happiness in the world. And if those aren�t reasons enough to convince you, then you are sick. You don�t have to wait for a dog to pack. A dog is always packed. It�s got its collar on and it won�t sulk if you forget the lead. Dogs rarely throw up in the car. And if they do, they eat it back up. Nor do dogs squabble in the car. They just stick their heads out of the window and are happy. They like ice creams, but they don�t whine for them. And they never ask if you�re nearly there yet. Dogs think you are already there, because, for a dog, there is here, and here is the best possible place to be. In five minutes time the best possible place to be will be where you are in five minutes time. But dogs don�t know that until they get there, because they have no command of the future tense. Dogs don�t mind if you go to the same place every year. Nor do they hanker for abroad in the belief that abroad ......
