Domestic violence is a social issue that concerns society. It affects any member of a family, especially the wife and the children. Each day people are witnessing in television newscasts and sensationalist programs, new scandalous acts of domestic violence, passionate crimes, brutal and unjustified murders, increasingly cruel, irrational and bloody. It is a problem that has to stop. Ones of the most important causes of domestic violence are jealousy, substance abuse and family trauma. Jealousy typically refers to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that occur when a person believes a valued relationship is being threatened by a rival. This rival may have no knowledge that he or she is threatening the relationship. A clear example of jealousy as a cause of domestic violence is when in a family the woman mostly is dominated by the man and therefore, she has to please him in all he wants. If she does something without his approval it could end in a physical aggression. Even is she pays more attention to their children, her husband feels jealous because he is no longer the center ......
