In 1888 Robert Louis Stevenson wrote a novel that took book writing to a whole new level. This book was called Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde. The book has very dark settings and frequent references to death, showing that this is a horror story. I will talk about this later on with in my essay, as well as the setting, the characters and mainly whether or not Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde is a horror a story or a morality tale. Firstly I will talk about the villain, Mr Hyde. Mr Hyde is not described fully within the book and what a lot of Mr Hyde�s appearance is left to the reader�s imagination. �Mr Hyde was pale and dwarfish he gave an impression of deformity without and nameable malformations, he had a displeasing smile�. This is the only description of Mr Hyde within the book, which shows that a lot of the appearance of Mr Hyde is left to the readers imagination.
