Many men, including myself, face hardships throughout the course of your life that have to be overcome to move on. However not many men face the same hardships that a man named Odysseus encounters on his journey home from war. The story of Odysseus�s journeys is told in the books of the Odyssey written by Homer. He faces challenges against Greek Gods and Goddesses that do not want him to make it back home to his family. It seems that everywhere he goes he is thrown through another maze of obstacles that he and his crew of men must face in order to survive and have a chance to make it back to their homeland. I personally enjoy reading The Odyssey. What I like about it is how even though a journey such as this one would never really happen the morals behind it relate to the world we live in today. For example, when Odysseus and his men travel to the land of the lotus eaters and the crew becomes addicted to the lotus fruit.
