The topic of religion and evolution is important because many people believe that if you believe in one you can�t believe the other. If you believe that God created Adam then created Eve, you believe that there is no way that man could have evolved form a single celled organism. If you believe man evolved from a single celled organism, how could god have possibly created Adam and Eve and all of man kind. A panel discussion was held at The Ohio State University debating these two beliefs. The panelists are as fallows: Edward Larson, Own Gingerich, Holmes Rolston, and John Haught. Some believe that god created man and that evolution is just a theory that cannot possibly be true. Some believe that man evolved from a simpler creature and might believe in a grater being but man just wasn�t created.
