Bono Biography Bono was raised in Dublin; he has one brother, Norman Hewson. His mother�s name was Iris and his father�s is Brendan Robert Hewson. His mother was a Protestant and died when bono was 14 at her father�s funeral of a cerebral aneurysm. From then on he was raised by his Roman Catholic Father. Bono is married to Alison Hewson. Their relationship began in 1975 and they married on the 21st of August 1982 in a Church of Ireland ceremony at All Saints Church, with Adam Clayton as Bono's best man. The couple has four children, Jordan, Memphis Eve, Elijah Bob Patricius and John Abraham. Bono lives in Killiney in south County Dublin, Ireland, with his family and shares a villa in �ze in the Alpes-Maritimes in the south of France with U2 member The Edge, as well as an apartment at The San Remo in Manhattan. Bono attended Mount Temple Comprehensive School, a denominational school in Clontarf, Ireland. During his childhood, Bono and his friends were part of a street gang called "Lypton Village," which had a ritual of giving nicknames. He had several nicknames: first, he was "......
