We all succumb to social influence at some point in our lives. Whether it is in High School where the ��Peer Pressures�� are dominant or in the adult stage when it is predominately evident that one must succeed in life. Either way, we conform to society in either an ��Informational�� sense, which is copying others behaviors, or a ��Normative�� sense, which is wanting to belong to a group and conforming to the masses. Informational social influence, occurs when one looks to others to figure out what they must do. I have experienced this all too well in my High School years. High school is all about fitting in and trying not to make a fool of ones self. I recall once, while I was at track practice, it was an extremely hot day. Nobody wanted to practice that day, but the coaches. So the captain of our team told us all to just go home. We all looked around, and figured that if the captain allows us to just go home, then maybe the coaches will be ok with it also.
