I personally like the idea of losing religion to gain free-thinking and science. To be able to have questions and figure out a way to solve them. To actually have determination to do it. The only flaw was that people became too open-minded and became gullible and lost their cautiousness around people, ergo, often fall prey to clever talk or superstitions. So things like blood-letting (the medical treatment of cutting a vein to let blood out because the sickness was “having too much blood”) or phrenology (with is the study of brain contours to determine someone’s personality).
It was great to think about the wealthy becoming wealthier and poor becoming wealthy. If I had a choice to live in a time other than my own, it would be this time, the Enlightenment. The only thing I would not be happily accustomed to would be the wigs, ribbons and jewels I could deal with, but not wigs, they’re itchy. Fashion soon became one of the focuses for the middle class, so they could be free from living under the nobles (who did not have much power during the enlightenment.) and stay ahead in socia......
