Was Henry VIII a man or a monster? Do you think Henry VII was a fair man? Do you think his boisterous behaviour deserved him a place on the throne? Well, in this essay I am going to explain what I think of Henry VIII and explain why. I believe that Henry VIII was a monster although I think he made a good king but his need for power and money made him look too forceful and high-handed. The reason I think that Henry is a monster is because out of all the people he could execute he chose two of his six wives and his best friend. He chose to kill his wife for doing nothing at all. Firstly Henry married six wives, his first wife Catherine of Aragon he divorced because he felt he needed a son to be his next heir to the throne. One of his wives, he divorced because she had a baby girl and he didn’t want to have a girl as the next heir to the throne. Do you think that that is fair to be so sexist that he would leave his wife and daughter just because he didn’t want a girl to take his place when he died? That is not just it; his lack of commitment was starting to show, as his number......
